This is a hand carved bee on welsh blue lias limestone. Made so it’s a standing piece and gilded in 23.5ct gold leaf, caplain leaf and black oxide leaf leaving the beautiful unique pattern of the bee’s colours.
Bee symbolism has embodied focus, dedication, hard work, teamwork, generosity, prosperity, and fertility. Bees generally serve as a symbol of rejuvenation and divinity in many cultures, but the folklore detailing the bees' abilities varies from region to region.
